Event & Assistant Manager Grill 28 at Pease Golf Course Position Summary Grill 28 is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Event & Operations Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of private events, while supporting restaurant operations year-round. This individual will serve as the primary contact for weddings, golf tournaments, corporate outings, social events, and private dining experiences, ensuring exceptional guest experiences from initial inquiry through event completion. During slower event periods and throughout the off-season, the Event & Operations Manager will work alongside the Restaurant Manager to support daily operations, staff development, guest service initiatives, and overall business performance. This position is ideal for a hospitality professional who enjoys building relationships, creating memorable experiences, and being actively involved in restaurant operations. Essential Responsibilities Event Sales & Coordination Respond to event inquiries and conduct facility tours. Prepare proposals, contracts, banquet event orders, and event timelines. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the planning process. Coordinate all event details with culinary, service, and management teams. Oversee event execution to ensure quality standards and guest satisfaction. Develop relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community partners to generate new event opportunities. Follow up with prospective and past clients to drive repeat business and referrals. Assist in achieving annual event revenue goals. Restaurant Operations Support Assist the Restaurant Manager with daily restaurant operations during slower event periods. Support floor management, guest recovery, and service excellence initiatives. Assist with staff training, onboarding, and team development. Help maintain operational standards, cleanliness, and efficiency throughout the facility. Support scheduling, administrative projects, and operational planning as needed. Act as a manager-on-duty when necessary. Qualifications Previous experience in hospitality, event management, catering, restaurant management, or a related field. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and hospitality software systems preferred. Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands require.
