Job Description

City, State:
Bridgewater, New Jersey The purpose of an Event Coordinator is to support both internal and external customers as it relates to Event Coordination; to work with Sales, hotel operational departments and third party food and beverage outlets to ensure consistent, high level service throughout pre-event, event and post-event phases of the group.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in tracking Events revenue. Finalize and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for all events within the 10-day forecast to internal departments. (Group Billing) Distribute Daily Events reports to ensure effective communication across departments. Answer phones and route Events sales inquiries to the appropriate Sales Manager. Create and communicate event resumes for small group bookings. Ensure that reader boards are updated daily with current event space information. Maintaining the Group Transportation Log and communicating with carrier Processing Marriott Bonvoy Points and eBonus Points Producing breakfast and dinner vouchers as well as menu cards Assist the Events team with promotional mailings, file maintenance, and organizing sales materials. Follow up on special banquet event arrangements from Director, to ensure compliance. Maintains regular attendance, is consistently on time and observes prescribed work, break and meal periods in compliance with standards Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include compliance with the dress code Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
: A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred. At least 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred. College course work in a related field helpful.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to interpret and perform basic math functions. Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data. Computer knowledge required. Excellent knowledge of MS Office programs required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment normally entails the following: Indoor work environment - 5 days a week onsite. Minimal to moderate noise levels consistent with hotel environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
During the course of performing the physical demands of this position, associates are expected to observe and adhere to safety and security procedures, promoting a safe work environment.
