Job Description

MetLife Stadium | East Rutherford, NJ Unpaid | Academic Credit Optional | In-Person | Part-Time (2 days/week + events) About the
Internship:
MetLife Stadium — home to the New York Giants and New York Jets — is seeking motivated, detail-oriented college juniors, seniors (as of September 2026), or post-graduate students for our Fall 2026 Facility Operations Internship. This unpaid opportunity offers an immersive experience into the daily operations of one of the world's busiest sports and entertainment venues.
Internship Dates:
September 2026 through the end of the NFL season (2 days per week + scheduled stadium events)
What You'll Learn:
Event Setup & Breakdown:
Shadow Facility Operations staff before and after events to learn logistics and planning.
Live Event Execution:
Follow staff during game days and concerts to understand real-time event operations.
Trade Collaboration:
Gain exposure to union roles such as electricians, plumbers, engineers, carpenters, and laborers.
Safety & Compliance:
Learn about OSHA requirements and workplace safety standards.
Building Operations:
Observe how events are managed alongside regular facility maintenance.
Project Support:
Assist with inventory, surveys, inspections, and administrative tasks.
Vendor Coordination:
Shadow staff during vendor/contractor check-ins.
File & Record Management:
Help maintain internal documentation and organizational systems.
What We're Looking For:
Currently enrolled undergraduate junior/senior (as of September 2026) or post-graduate student Strong communication and writing skills Excellent organization and time management Professional attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and willingness to follow MetLife Stadium policies and procedures Interest in facility operations, event management, or sports/entertainment industries
Schedule:
This internship includes weekday office hours (2 days/week) plus stadium events, which may occur on evenings, weekends, and holidays. A work schedule will be shared at least one week in advance.
Additional Details:
Unpaid internship Academic credit is optional and can be arranged through your university We offer feedback, evaluations, and weekly progress reports as required by academic programs On-site internship (no remote option)
