Overview:
As the Development & Event Coordinator at ArcMorris, you are responsible for leading the marketing and development efforts that amplify the organization's mission, raise critical funds, and ensure the achievement of budgeted fundraising goals. This role involves organizing and executing three key annual fundraising events (walkathon, golf outing, and annual gala) and ensuring that each event meets or exceeds its fundraising targets. You will be responsible for creating and managing all print and digital marketing materials, social media strategies, content creation, and public relations efforts to support these fundraising events and the ongoing visibility of ArcMorris' programs. Working closely with the Director of Development, Marketing, and PR, you will play a pivotal role in advancing ArcMorris' brand, expanding its donor base, and ensuring the success of our programs by meeting fundraising goals each year.
Responsibilities:
Event Planning & Fundraising Support Lead and manage marketing efforts for ArcMorris' three major annual fundraising events: Walkathon, Golf Outing, and Gala, ensuring each event achieves its fundraising goals. Collaborate with the event planning team to develop and execute strategies to increase attendance, engagement, and donations. Assist in the creation of fundraising campaigns leading up to events, targeting key donor and participant groups. Coordinate post-event communications to celebrate success, highlight impact, and strengthen relationships with donors and participants. Marketing & Content Creation Design and produce engaging marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, newsletters, event programs, and other promotional content. Produce high-quality video and photo content that tells the story of ArcMorris and highlights the impact of its programs. Ensure all materials align with ArcMorris' brand voice and visual identity. Social Media & Digital Strategy Oversee ArcMorris' social media strategy, including content creation, scheduling, and engagement across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn). Create content that showcases ArcMorris' programs, events, and community impact to increase brand awareness and engagement. Monitor social media trends and adjust strategies to ensure a strong and current online presence. Public Relations & Media Relations Write and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other communications to promote ArcMorris' initiatives, events, and milestones. Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and journalists to ensure positive representation in the community. Maintain and update media lists to ensure outreach remains timely and relevant. Collaborative Fundraising Support Collaborate with the Director of Development, Marketing & PR, and the ArcMorris Foundation to ensure marketing efforts support fundraising objectives. Assist in developing and executing the Foundation's annual fundraising strategy, aligned with organizational goals. Track and analyze fundraising progress and implement strategies to achieve and exceed budgeted goals Internal & External Communication Support Assist with internal communications such as newsletters, staff announcements, and fundraising updates. Ensure timely and effective donor communications to enhance relationships and engagement.. Research & Market Analysis Conduct market research and analyze trends to improve ArcMorris's marketing and communication strategies. Identify new funding sources, partnerships, and engagement opportunities to continue the growth and success of ArcMorris.
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of experience in marketing, public relations, event planning, or communications, with a strong portfolio of design work and written content. Proven track record in organizing fundraising events for nonprofit programs. Proficient in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and social media tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite). Strong writing, editing, and communication skills tailored to various audiences. Video production and photography experience highly preferred. Knowledge of SEO, web analytics, and digital marketing best practices. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Self-motivated and proactive with strong collaboration skills. Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and visually compelling content. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to build relationships with media professionals, donors, partners, and event participants. Goal-oriented and focused on achieving fundraising targets for ArcMorris' programs.
