Clarks Landing Yacht Club, named the #1 wedding venue in the country out of 12,000 venues on The Knot , is seeking an Assistant Maître d' to join our hospitality leadership team. Responsibilities include:
Assist the Maître d' and management team in overseeing weddings and events from start to finish Be responsible for helping manage the timeline of the event and ensuring everything stays on schedule Assist with ceremony rehearsals and wedding ceremonies Provide exceptional hospitality to couples, families, guests, vendors, and staff Make sure all guests are happy, comfortable, and satisfied throughout the event Help lead, motivate, train, and support the service team Ensure staff members feel prepared, supported, and positive throughout each event Handle multiple tasks at once while staying calm, organized, and professional Help wherever needed to ensure a smooth and successful event Communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, bar, service staff, and guests Assist in maintaining high standards for service, timing, presentation, cleanliness, and guest experience Help solve problems quickly and professionally Lead by example with a positive attitude and strong work ethic The ideal candidate is: Friendly, outgoing, and excellent with people Professional, polished, and guest-focused A strong communicator Calm under pressure Highly organized and able to multitask A team player who is willing to jump in wherever needed Coachable, humble, and eager to grow Motivated to help train and develop staff Passionate about making every couple, guest, and team member beyond happy Our goal is simple: every wedding should feel perfect, every guest should feel cared for, and every team member should feel supported, motivated, and proud to be part of the team.
