This multifaceted position plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patron experiences while strengthening the Theatre's fundraising and membership efforts. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and energized by working in a fast-paced performing arts environment. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate across departments, contribute to meaningful community engagement, and support the long-term sustainability of a historic cultural institution. Key Responsibilities Box Office Operations & Audience Experience Support the daily operations of the Palace Theatre Box Office, ensuring accurate ticketing, financial integrity, and excellent customer service. Sell tickets in person and by phone, providing clear and welcoming guidance on performances, policies, and procedures. Serve as a frontline ambassador for the Theatre, addressing and resolving patron questions and concerns with professionalism and care. Prepare and reconcile daily sales reports, settlements, and cash deposits. Open and close the Box Office as needed and serve as team lead for part-time Box Office staff in the absence of the Director of Ticketing & Audience Services. Oversee ticket scanning and patron ingress on event nights, resolving ticketing, seating, and access issues as they arise. Coordinate with local and national promoters to manage event builds, presales, and onsales within Ticketmaster. Support group sales initiatives and community outreach efforts that build audiences and deepen engagement. Development & Fundraising Support Provide administrative and operational support for Development initiatives, including Membership, Annual Giving, and Capital Campaigns. Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor and membership records using Excel and donor CRM systems. Process memberships, renewals, donations, and appeals, ensuring timely acknowledgement and thoughtful donor stewardship. Prepare donor correspondence and assist with campaign communications and reporting. Support Development events and fundraising campaigns through coordination, logistics, and cross-departmental collaboration. Contribute to efforts that expand the Theatre's donor base and strengthen long-term relationships with supporters. Collaboration & Organizational Support Work collaboratively with Marketing, Development, and Operations teams to ensure a consistent and positive experience for patrons and donors. Assist with marketing and promotional efforts for Palace Theatre events as needed. Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Theatre's mission and strategic goals. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required. Strong customer service skills and a commitment to providing a welcoming, inclusive experience. Previous Box Office, ticketing, or front-of-house experience preferred. Experience handling cash and financial transactions required. Familiarity with Ticketmaster Host and TM1 preferred. Experience with donor or fundraising CRM software (e.g., Raiser's Edge, DonorPerfect) preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain detail-oriented in a fast-paced, event-driven environment. Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Compensation & Schedule Salary:
$20.00 Hourly Part-time position (20-30 hours per week) with potential to become full-time ; schedule varies based on event activity and may include nights and weekends.Pay:
