We are seeking an experienced and highly organized professional to support fundraising, donor engagement, and special event activities during a critical growth period. Position Summary CIDA is seeking a Temporary Development & Events Coordinator to assist with fundraising events, donor relations, sponsorship development, and event communications. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with nonprofit development experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and helping mission-driven organizations achieve their goals.

Bayside, Queens, NY Key Responsibilities Assist with planning and execution of fundraising events, including CIDA's annual gala and donor cultivation events Support donor stewardship and relationship management activities Assist with sponsorship outreach, tracking, and fulfillment Prepare event materials, donor correspondence, invitations, acknowledgments, and promotional materials Maintain donor databases and fundraising records Coordinate event logistics, vendor communications, and volunteer support Assist with fundraising campaigns and special projects as assigned Support social media, marketing, and event-related communications as needed Qualifications Experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, event planning, donor relations, or a related field Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in person with donors, sponsors, community partners, and event attendees Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Proficiency in Microsoft Office and donor database systems preferred Experience with sponsorship development and fundraising events strongly preferred Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with staff and volunteers Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Ability to travel locally for donor meetings, event preparation, sponsorship outreach, and community engagement activities Preferred Qualifications Previous experience supporting nonprofit galas, fundraising campaigns, or donor stewardship programs Familiarity with donor management systems Experience working with community organizations or disability-related programs Why Join CIDA?
