Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Manager in Training (MIT) to join our team at our busy and fast-growing Syosset studio. Graff Lab Studio is a creative, graffiti-inspired art studio specializing in children's birthday parties, workshops, camps, and private events. Our Syosset location is our second and currently largest and most active studio, with a high volume of events each week. This is a hands-on training role designed for individuals who are interested in developing into a leadership position. Over time, the goal is for this individual to become confident in running the studio independently, including managing events, staff, and daily operations. This role offers strong potential for full-time hours and increased responsibility based on performance. This position does not guarantee promotion, but is designed to build the skills needed for advancement into a management role. This is an ideal role for college students with flexible schedules, individuals interested in small business operations, or those pursuing careers in education who are looking to gain hands-on experience working with children in a structured environment.
Training & Responsibilities:
Learn and operate the studio POS system Assist with daily financial procedures, including deposits Support scheduling, bookings, and event coordination Help manage and execute birthday parties, workshops, and private events Lead and support event staff during busy event days Assist with food service during events Maintain studio cleanliness and organization Support inventory management and supply ordering Assist with coordination of camps, school groups, and large events
Qualifications:
Experience working with children required (camp, education, coaching, etc.) Interest in leadership, operations, and team management Strong communication and customer service skills Highly organized and able to multitask Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment Reliable, punctual, and able to take initiative
Schedule:
Weekend availability required (Saturday and Sunday) Additional weekday hours available based on scheduling needs
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour
