Schedule:

Flexible daytime, evening, and weekend hours required. Event Managers will oversee daily operations throughout the duration of the activation. About the Event The Downtown Troy BID is producing a city-wide World Cup public viewing experience featuring daily match screenings, community activations, entertainment, vendors, and hospitality programming throughout Downtown Troy. The BID is seeking an organized and dependable temporary Event Manager to oversee day-to-day event operations and staff coordination. Responsibilities Oversee daily event operations at assigned viewing locations Manage and supervise temporary event staff Coordinate daily setup, operations, and breakdown Serve as the primary on-site lead during events Coordinate with vendors, breweries, performers, sponsors, and partners Oversee A/V operations and troubleshoot logistical issues Ensure timelines and operational plans are executed effectively Communicate directly with BID leadership regarding daily operations Monitor crowd flow, cleanliness, safety, and guest experience Assist with staffing schedules and operational assignments Coordinate with security, city officials, and emergency personnel as needed Ensure all equipment and event materials are secured at the end of each day Qualifications Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage teams in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods Must be available nights and weekends throughout the activation Previous event experience preferred Basic A/V knowledge preferred Reliable transportation preferred To Apply Please email the Downtown Troy BID with: Your name and age A short paragraph about yourself and why you're interested Any previous work, volunteer, school, sports, or leadership experience Your general availability between June 11•July 24 A phone number and email where we can reach you You may also include a resume if you have one, but it is not required.
