Job Description

Overview The Event Operations Crew is responsible for assisting with the setup, execution, and breakdown of events hosted by the organization. Crew members work behind the scenes and on the event floor to ensure all event activities run smoothly, safely, and professionally. This position requires flexibility, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing an exceptional experience for attendees, vendors, sponsors, and guests. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Report to Event Operations Manager/Event Director Assist with event setup, including tables, chairs, tents, signage, staging, and equipment. Support vendor check-in, placement, and event needs throughout the event. Assist with guest registration, admissions, and crowd flow. Monitor event areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and organization. Serve as a point of contact for attendees needing assistance or directions. Assist with VIP, sponsor, and special guest accommodations. Support entertainment, competitions, and scheduled event activities as assigned. Coordinate with security, parking attendants, and venue personnel as needed. Troubleshoot minor event issues and report concerns to supervisors. Assist with inventory management, equipment transport, and supply distribution. Participate in event breakdown, cleanup, and equipment storage following the event. Maintain a professional and positive attitude while representing the organization. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team. Previous event, hospitality, customer service, or volunteer experience preferred but not required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong organizational skills. Excellent teamwork and collaboration. Performance Expectations Arrive on time and prepared for all assigned shifts. Maintain professionalism when interacting with guests, vendors, sponsors, and fellow team members. Follow all event policies, safety procedures, and supervisory directives. Demonstrate reliability, accountability, and a positive attitude throughout all event operations.
