Position Introduction:
The Oklahoma Memorial Union is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Events Coordinator to support the planning and execution of events and conferences. This position plays a critical role in ensuring successful event delivery by coordinating logistics, managing schedules, and providing comprehensive administrative and operational support. The Events Coordinator works collaboratively with campus partners, clients, and vendors to create seamless and high-quality event experiences.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist in the coordination, preparation, and execution of events and conferences. Coordinate scheduling of event activities and facility usage. Provide logistical support including managing event timelines, booking venue, coordinating food and beverage services. Facilitate room setup, ensuring proper configuration and managing audio-visual needs. Assist with budget planning, expense tracking, and cost estimates. Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree. 12 months experience in event planning and coordination, outreach or public relations.
Equivalency/Substitution :
Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 60 months experience.
Required Certifications and Licenses:
Valid Oklahoma Driver's License in order to drive University vehicles or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire date. Hiring Contingent Upon a
