Job Summary:
The Events Assistant provides support for the planning, promotion, and execution of events by assisting with logistics, vendors, materials, and on-site operations. Supports event and tenant activations through social media and community calendars, maintains event documentation, and helps troubleshoot issues before, during, and after events in coordination with internal teams. The Events Assistant reports to Market Manager for Obie Companies.
REQUIREMENTS
  • To be at least 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Pass background check
  • Pass drug test
  • Pass DMV record check
  • Driver's license
  • At least 6 months experience
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Event Planning and Execution
  • Event planning, promotion, and on-site execution including set up and tear down of events
  • Help manage props, décor, signage, and event materials.
  • Work with Market Manager, performers, vendors and tenants to coordinate event logistics
  • Contact and coordinate with tenants, sponsors, vendors and entertainers as needed to confirm information and details
  • Write and/or collect event information and data
  • Maintain and organize all paperwork associated with the event, activation and promotion.
  • Assist with basic communication between staff, tenants, vendors, and Market departments during events.
  • Assist with providing information for the design and execution of social media campaigns
  • Gather and provide information to promote events, promotions and activations on various social media websites
  • Troubleshoot and creatively problem solve matters that arise before, during or after Events. Communicate directly with operations team and with Supervisor on as needed basis areas of concern or items that need addressing. Full time Days $18.00
