Magnolia Streamside Resort is a premier destination for enchanting weddings and memorable events. We pride ourselves on creating magical experiences for our guests, and we're looking for a talented and passionate Wedding Planner / Event Manager to join our exceptional team.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Wedding Planner / Event Manager with a proven track record in managing weddings at a wedding venue. The ideal candidate will be creative, detail oriented, a team player, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. This role involves actively generating and soliciting wedding/event leads, planning, and executing weddings and events, and ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation:
Actively and creatively generate and solicit wedding leads through various channels, including networking, marketing campaigns, social media, and partnerships.
Client Consultation:
Meet with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and budget for their wedding or event. Provide professional advice and suggestions to enhance their experience. Facilitate venue tours and discuss various packages and options.
Planning & Coordination:
Plan and coordinate all aspects of weddings and events, including venue setup, décor, staffing, catering, entertainment, and logistics.
Vendor Management:
Collaborate with vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of services. Maintain strong relationships with preferred vendors.
On-Site Management:
Oversee the execution of weddings and events, ensuring everything runs smoothly and according to plan. Address any issues that arise promptly and efficiently.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the resort staff, including another event manager, event staff, maintenance, housekeeping, and front desk teams, to ensure seamless event execution.
Creative Input:
Bring innovative ideas and creative solutions to grow the volume of weddings and events, enhance the overall guest experience and make each wedding unique and memorable.
Budget Management:
Manage event budgets, ensuring all expenses are within the allocated budget and maximizing cost-efficiency.
Client Satisfaction:
Ensure a high level of client satisfaction by providing exceptional service, attention to detail, and personalized experiences.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a wedding planner or event manager at a wedding venue. Proven track record of successfully planning and executing weddings and events. Strong network and ability to generate wedding leads. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Creative mindset with an eye for detail and design. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in event planning software and tools. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by event schedules.
