Unit Coordinator, Association Management About CHMS Capitol Hill Management Services (CHMS) is a full-service association management company serving nonprofit and membership-based organizations nationwide. Our team partners with professional societies, trade associations, and nonprofit organizations to provide strategic leadership, governance support, membership services, meeting management, communications, and operational excellence. We are seeking an organized, client-focused professional to join our Association Management Team as an Association Manager. Position Overview The Association Manager serves as the primary point of contact for several association clients, working closely with volunteer leaders, board members, committees, and internal CHMS departments to ensure exceptional service delivery. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys relationship management, project coordination, event planning, and furthering the organizations' mission and goals. This person finds purpose in supporting organizations that make a difference. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary liaison for assigned association clients Build strong relationships with volunteer board members and committee leaders Coordinate governance activities, including board and committee meetings Support membership recruitment, retention, and engagement initiatives Collaborate with Meeting Planning, Marketing & Communications, and Finance teams to deliver client services Assist with conference, meeting, and event planning and execution Manage timelines, projects, and client deliverables Draft and review communications, reports, agendas, and meeting materials Monitor client priorities and proactively identify opportunities for improvement Some travel is required for client meetings, conferences, and events Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum of 3 years of association management, nonprofit management, or related experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Exceptional organizational and project management abilities Ability to manage multiple clients and competing priorities simultaneously Customer-service mindset with strong relationship-building skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database/AMS platforms Experience working with volunteer leaders and boards is preferred Why CHMS? Pay:
$50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
