The Groundlings is seeking a proactive and results-oriented rock star to join our team as Corporate Event Sales Manager. This is a part-time, year-round position with the potential to grow into a full-time position. The Corporate Event Sales Manager is responsible for driving corporate event and training revenue for The Groundlings through proactive client development, relationship management, and seamless event coordination. This role serves as the primary point of contact for corporate clients from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up, ensuring a high-quality client experience and successful event execution. The position requires strong sales acumen, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while collaborating with internal staff, instructors, and vendors. The Corporate Event Sales Manager will also support internal organizational events and marketing initiatives as needed. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Corporate Sales & Client Development ■ Receiving, negotiating, and booking corporate training and show requests. ■ Generating and growing corporate training and event revenue through proactive outreach and relationship building. ■ Responding to inquiries and negotiate terms for corporate training sessions, performances, and private events. ■ Cultivating and maintaining long-term relationships with new and returning corporate clients. ■ Representing The Groundlings professionally in all client-facing interactions. ■ Meeting or exceeding monthly and annual revenue targets. Contract Administration:
■ Preparing proposals, negotiating agreements, and executing contracts for corporate trainings and events. ■ Ensuring accurate documentation of event details, budgets, and payment timelines. ■ Collaborating with the Business Manager to coordinate invoicing, payments, and financial tracking. ■ Maintaining accurate event records and ensuring contracts are fully executed prior to event delivery. Event Planning & Execution:
■ Managing and maintaining the corporate events calendar. ■ Coordinating schedules with instructors, directors, performers, and internal staff. ■ Organizing and facilitating planning meetings between clients and event facilitators. ■ Communicating event details, reminders, and logistical information to all stakeholders. ■ Ensuring seamless coordination between clients, instructors, and internal teams. Internal Collaboration & Organizational Support ■ Partnering with the Marketing team to support advertising and promotion of corporate offerings. ■ Providing event coordination support for internal events, including milestone celebrations and organizational programs (e.g., opening nights, scholarship receptions, anniversary events). ■ Contributing to organizational initiatives as needed. QUALIFICATIONS
■ 3+ years of experience in event sales, corporate training sales, hospitality sales, or event management. ■ Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding revenue or sales goals. ■ Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. ■ Excellent written and verbal communication skills. ■ Strong organizational and project management abilities with attention to detail. ■ Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. ■ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. ■ Proficiency with standard business software (e.g., Google Workspace or Microsoft Office).
