is a young, dynamic Santa Barbara County nonprofit supporting the mental wellness and equipment needs of first responders across all eleven county departments. We are a lean, fast-moving organization powered by a passionate team of contractors and volunteers who pull together to produce world-class events — from intimate donor gatherings in private homes to large-scale festivals of 1,500 — all in service of a cause that genuinely changes lives. We move quickly, we pivot when we need to, and we get things done. If you thrive in an energetic, mission-driven environment and bring genuine nonprofit experience across sponsorship, in-kind giving, volunteer coordination, and events, we'd love to hear from you. Commitment & Compensation — Minimum 20 hours per week from now through the end of September 2026, with ongoing project-based work thereafter — Partial hybrid — a mix of remote and in-person in the Santa Barbara area — Events range from intimate gatherings of 40 to festivals of 1,500 —

To be discussed — Evenings and weekends required around events What You Will Do Events — Coordinate events across a range of settings — private homes, clubs, and large-scale festivals — Work alongside existing production crews, contractors, and volunteers on larger events — Own donor-facing logistics including transportation, catering, and on-site experience — Ensure no detail is overlooked from planning through execution — Pivot gracefully when plans change — and they will Sponsorship & Partnerships — Identify, approach, and secure nonprofit sponsorships — corporate and community — Build and steward mission-aligned sponsor relationships with warmth and professionalism — Manage sponsor recognition across all touchpoints — on-site signage, social media, naming rights, and acknowledgements In-Kind Donations — Solicit, track, and maximize in-kind donations across all event types — Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to secure best-in-class support and value — Ensure all in-kind donors are properly stewarded and recognized Volunteers & Auctions — Recruit, coordinate, and deploy volunteers across events of all scales — Plan and manage silent, live, and online auctions end to end — Build and manage budgets with genuine care for the bottom line — every dollar saved goes directly to our first responders Who You Are — A seasoned nonprofit events and development professional with significant experience across all of the above — You bring a strong, established network of suppliers, venues, caterers, corporate sponsors, and vendor partners in the Santa Barbara area — You understand nonprofit sponsorship inside out — the difference between a transactional deal and a genuine mission-aligned partnership — You know how to solicit, steward, and maximize in-kind donations — You have run auctions — silent, live, and online — and know what makes them succeed — A confident and compassionate volunteer coordinator — you get the best out of people giving their time — Comfortable and confident working within a contractor and volunteer-led team — A natural pivot — you adapt quickly, stay calm under pressure, and never lose sight of the goal — Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented — nothing falls through the cracks on your watch — Equally comfortable producing an intimate dinner for 40 and a festival for 1,500 — Deeply passionate about community and giving back You'll be joining a team that genuinely cares — about each other, about the work, and about the first responders and families we serve across Santa Barbara County.
