This role is ideal for someone who thrives on coordination, manages multiple moving pieces with ease and takes pride in delivering polished, impactful experiences. You'll play a key role in keeping event operations running smoothly while helping produce engaging, impactful meetings and education for members and stakeholders. What You'll Do Events & Engagement Coordinate board meetings, staff functions, special meetings and regional events for MI Chamber and
MI ATHENA
Manage planning and execution of two annual signature events (Chamber Day and
MI ATHENA
Conference) with vendor support Research and identify topics and speakers for webinars and signature events Plan and produce at least two monthly webinars (combination of live and recorded), including topic and speaker coordination Lead relationship of sponsorship fulfillment Manage event logistics, including invitations, registrations, materials, and follow-up Write opening and closing remarks for webinars and in person events Help deliver a polished, professional event experience - from planning through delivery Revenue Team Support Support revenue team leader with calendar coordination, data management updates, speaker and sponsor coordination, appointments Support sponsorship and membership proposal creation Process electronic payments to open invoices Maintain accurate engagement and registration reports Marketing & Communications Team Support Support team leader with calendar coordination and scheduling meetings including podcast scheduling Support sponsorship fulfillment related to marketing and events Maintain accurate operational expense records What an Ideal Candidate Looks Like Required Bachelor's degree preferred OR Associate's degree with relevant internship or work experience 3-5 years of experience managing business/corporate events Internship, campus leadership, or early career experience in government, communications, business, or associations is a plus Skills and Capabilities Strong workflow organization and time management Professional written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail with accuracy and follow through Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Proactive problem-solving and reasoning skills Technical Skills Experience with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams) Comfort and basic proficiency with spreadsheets and data tracking
