Pickleball Tournament Director

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Pickleball Tournament Director to lead the planning, organization, and execution of exciting pickleball tournaments. This role is perfect for someone passionate about sports event management, customer service, and creating memorable experiences for players and spectators alike. As the face of our tournament operations, you will coordinate all aspects of event setup, registration, scheduling, and onsite management to ensure smooth and successful competitions. Your enthusiasm and organizational prowess will drive the success of each event while fostering a vibrant community atmosphere. Responsibilities Lead the planning and execution of pickleball tournaments from concept to completion, including venue setup, scheduling, and logistics coordination Manage registration processes, ensuring a seamless experience for participants while providing excellent customer service Coordinate with vendors, sponsors, and partners to secure necessary services such as catering, equipment rentals, and promotional support Oversee onsite event operations including court arrangements, player check-in, scorekeeping, and officiating support Implement marketing strategies to promote tournaments through social media, local advertising, and community outreach efforts Handle negotiations with vendors, sponsors, and venue operators to optimize resources and enhance event quality Manage budgets effectively by tracking expenses and maximizing available resources to deliver high-quality events within financial parameters Ensure compliance with safety standards and coordinate emergency response procedures when needed Foster positive relationships with players, spectators, volunteers, and community stakeholders to build a loyal tournament following Weekend availability and willingness to travel 1-2 weekends per month Experience Proven experience in event planning or management within sports or hospitality environments Strong negotiation skills with vendors, sponsors, and partners to secure favorable terms Background in marketing or upselling techniques to boost event visibility and participant engagement Excellent communication skills for liaising with diverse teams including staff, volunteers, vendors, and participants Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently with exceptional time management and organizational skills Experience in banquet or catering services is a plus; familiarity with guest services in hospitality settings enhances your ability to create welcoming environments Knowledge of contracts related to event venues or vendors ensures smooth negotiations and compliance Join us as our Pickleball Tournament Director if you're ready to energize communities through engaging sporting events!
