Temporary assignment through the end of the year About the Opportunity Our nonprofit client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Manager, Development & Events to support fundraising initiatives, donor engagement efforts, and event execution. This individual will play a key role in coordinating high-profile fundraising events, donor cultivation activities, athletic fundraising programs, and community engagement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in nonprofit fundraising, event planning, or development operations who enjoys working in a mission-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Fundraising Events & Initiatives
Assist with planning and execution of fundraising events, galas, donor receptions, and community engagement programs
Create and manage event registration pages and microsites
Coordinate guest lists, donation tracking, and event logistics
Manage procurement, tracking, and fulfillment of auction items, raffle prizes, sponsorship benefits, and event materials
Maintain event documentation, schedules, credential access, and onsite materials
Coordinate travel arrangements for speakers, special guests, and team members as needed
Provide onsite event support and assist with event setup and execution Development Operations
Support donor stewardship efforts, gift processing, acknowledgments, and donor communications
Assist with maintaining fundraising databases and donor records
Manage event and organizational inventory, including promotional materials and event supplies
Maintain organizational calendars and support ongoing development initiatives
Collaborate closely with staff, volunteers, and leadership on fundraising projects and special initiatives Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in fundraising, development, events, or project management
Nonprofit experience strongly preferred
Experience with donor CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
Familiarity with fundraising platforms and email marketing tools
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently
Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
