University Recruiting & Early Careers Events Lead Pay Rate:
$41. 27 per hour, paid weekly
Location of Assignment:
One Nationwide Plaza, Columbus, OH 43215
Schedule:
Hybrid - 2 days onsite (Tuesdays & Wednesdays) / 3 days remote
Regular Hours:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00
PM EST Overtime:
May be required based on business needs and event schedules

08/03/2026, upon completion of onboarding Role Overview As a University Recruiting & Early Careers Events Lead, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional experiences across internship programs, university recruiting initiatives, and early career development events. You will manage event logistics, coordinate recruiting programs, support candidate engagement efforts, and partner with internal stakeholders to execute seamless, high-impact experiences for candidates, interns, and business partners. This role is ideal for a highly organized professional with strong event management, recruiting operations, or program coordination experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Key Responsibilities Manage logistics for university recruiting events, career fairs, conferences, internship programs, orientation sessions, and professional development experiences Create and maintain event pages in Yello, manage registrations, attendee communications, and event tracking Coordinate travel arrangements, hotel accommodations, meeting spaces, catering, event materials, and vendor services Partner with Talent Acquisition teams, business leaders, universities, and external vendors to execute successful recruiting events Process invoices, track expenses, reconcile budgets, and maintain accurate financial documentation Monitor event inventory, coordinate shipping and receiving of recruiting materials, and manage event supplies Track event metrics, participant feedback, and post-event analytics to support continuous improvement efforts Support candidate and intern experience initiatives through proactive communication and program coordination Utilize digital tools, technology platforms, and AI-enabled solutions to improve event planning efficiency and participant experiences Identify opportunities to enhance recruiting programs, event processes, and operational effectiveness Represent the organization at recruiting events, conferences, and external engagements as needed
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred in Event Management, Hospitality, Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
Experience:
