POSITION SUMMARY
The RIFC Ambassador supports Rhode Island FC's marketing, community relations, and fan engagement efforts by working onsite at games, events, festivals, and promotional activations. This role assists with event setup, brand advancement, fan engagement, data collection, and ensuring Rhode Island FC is represented with professionalism throughout the community. The Ambassador plays an important role in creating memorable experiences for fans and expanding the club's presence across Rhode Island and Southern New England. RIFC Ambassadors will coordinate related projects, responsibilities and initiatives that support ancillary events at Centreville Bank Stadium.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work on and off-site events to promote the Rhode Island FC brand.
  • Coordinate the operational needs and activation of scheduled events including giveaways, promotions, meeting and greeting fans, and ensuring event objectives are met.
  • Transport equipment, load/unload vehicles, and assist with setup and tear-down of event materials.
  • Execute on-site team appearances, community events, and promotional activities.
  • Support on-site team promotions and event marketing efforts.
  • Coordinate team props, signage, branded games, and inflatables at events.
  • Meet and greet fans, conduct giveaways, facilitate interactive games, and support fan engagement activities.
  • Collect fan data and contact information through engagement efforts.
  • Support the Community Relations, Marketing, Partnerships, and Game Operations teams as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned, including occasional matchday setup and logistics.
Critical Ancillary Stadium Event Support:
RIFC & Centreville Bank Stadium operate as "one team" therefore you, from time to time, will be directed to provide support and on occasion work as assigned for events at Centreville Bank Stadium.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in event marketing, promotions, community engagement, or related fields preferred.
  • Ability to safely set up equipment, props, signage, and inflatables.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Dress and conduct oneself in accordance with standards as provided by Rhode Island FC while interacting with fans, partners, and team personnel.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and all home matches.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & SCHEDULE
  • Frequent evening, weekend, and holiday work required based on event schedules.
  • Role requires outdoor work, prolonged standing, and lifting event materials as needed and frequently working in loud environments.
  • Position is based in Rhode Island with regular presence at community events, the stadium, and the team office.
