The role You'll be the operational core of the BIC — the person who keeps the front of house running, members supported, events executed, programs coordinated, and partnerships growing. You don't wait to be told what to do next — you figure it out, make a plan, and execute. You're a strong communicator, a natural relationship builder, and someone who takes pride in doing things well. You're hungry to learn, to contribute, and to grow — and you're looking for a place where that matters. Specific experience is less important than the right combination of drive, organization, and people skills. A note about working at the BIC Any role here comes with a significant amount of: Interfacing with technology-based startups and the founders, entrepreneurs, and ecosystem players building them — in Columbia and beyond. Opportunities to meet, network, and explore with those companies and our partner organizations. Learning. About business, tech, entrepreneurship, leadership, and about yourself. "Other duties as assigned." As Executive Director, I regularly take out trash, clean dishes, move tables, work strange hours for events, and figure out creative solutions to whatever comes up. In startups, everyone wears lots of hats — I personally think that's half the fun. I'm looking for people who have learned the highly valuable career and life skills of "figure it out" and "get it done," and who are willing to do the unglamorous in addition to the exciting.
