YES PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with event staff and execution of events from set-up, to coordination, leading staff, clean up and breakdown. Strives to understand and understand the customer needs and find solutions.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • A minimum of 3 years customer service experience, event planning, or comparable role
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards of customer service
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills, problem solving abilities, and communication skills.
  • Working proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Word, and, Excel,
  • Ability to learn and understand databases and department specific software packages
  • Flexibility and willingness to handle a variety of tasks
  • Self-motivated; demonstrated interest in taking initiative, anticipating needs, carrying projects though completion with minimal direction, and working with a high degree of urgency
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May perform or share responsibilities with another lead event specialist for the following: Leads the event specialist team which may include scheduling, assignments, training, and follow-up. Assists with the execution of various lifestyle events, including setup and clean up. Responds to resident, visitor, staff, and vendor requests and concerns with prompt friendly professional service via phone or emails. Greets, welcomes, and interacts with all customers in a responsive, courteous, professional manner. Acts as the lead bartender at events. Ensures team members accurately tally bar sheets. Prepares event diagrams Provides accurate set-up information and diagrams to venue manager Maintains vendor certificate of liability spreadsheet and files associated paperwork. Executes entertainment riders Maintains inventory of all concessions Responsible for any additional setup needs (i.e. ticket area, bars, ice, décor, etc.) Performs monetary transactions in a quick, efficient, and correct manner. Coordinates, sells or distributes event tickets Ensures timely and accurate completion of all administrative duties Uses database and other web-based tools to assist with reporting and transactions Performs other duties as assigned or requested
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Capable of working extended hours, to include evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.
  • Able to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or printing, with corrective lenses if needed.
  • Must be able to speak English in a clear and understandable voice so that various types of communications may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities, to include the exchange and receipt of information over the telephone.
  • Position involves sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying and moving objects that can weigh up to 40 lbs. This movement can occur throughout the day. Must also be able to climb several flights of stairs if necessary.
  • This position will alternate between working indoors in a controlled climate and with proper lighting, to an outdoors setting with variable climate and lighting.
  • Must be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail oriented, and with good reasoning skills.
  • Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard.

  • Must be able to work on more than one assignment at a time with frequent interruptions, changes, and delays.
  • Must be able to remain focused and work effectively, efficiently, and professionally under such circumstances.
