Event Manager

Event Manager — Part Time Forget Me Not Candle is looking for a highly organized, dependable, and outgoing Event Manager to help coordinate and grow our local event presence throughout Chattanooga and surrounding areas. This role goes far beyond simply "working markets." We're looking for someone who can help manage the operational side of events, pop ups, collaborations, and local brand visibility while ensuring each event runs smoothly and professionally. The ideal candidate is proactive, communicative, organized under pressure, and comfortable taking ownership of moving parts without needing constant direction. ResponsibilitiesEvent Coordination + Management Attend and manage local events, markets, pop ups, and brand activations Ensure all scheduled events are properly staffed and covered Coordinate scheduling and communication with event staff Communicate directly with event hosts regarding setup instructions, event details, arrival times, parking, and logistics Maintain strong event organization, professionalism, and customer experience at all times Event Setup + Logistics Prep and organize all event materials before each event including: inventory signage testers displays tables booth supplies payment systems marketing materials Ensure event supplies are properly packed, transported, returned, cleaned, and reorganized after each event Monitor damaged, missing, or low event supplies and communicate replacement needs to management proactively Local Pop Ups + Partnerships Research and build relationships with aligned local businesses for recurring pop ups and collaborations Visit and contact businesses such as: Pilates studios wellness studios coffee shops boutiques salons yoga studios service-based businesses Help expand local brand awareness through community outreach and partnerships Event Research + Reporting Research well-aligned local events and market opportunities Assist with event applications and scheduling Pull event sales reports and record performance metrics into our Event Tracker Spreadsheet Help identify which events and partnerships are performing best What We're Looking For Strong communication and people skills Extremely reliable and organized Comfortable working independently Ability to manage moving parts and solve problems quickly Comfortable lifting and setting up event equipment/tables/products Weekend availability is required Must have reliable transportation
