We work with family-ownded dairies, farms and food artisans to create unique, clean ice creams that not only taste good, but do good. It's this passion and commitment that's lead us to be named the "Best Ice Cream in Texas" by Food and Win e. Position Summary Events staff will help work at our booths, ice cream truck, and/or ice cream carts during events ranging from small parties to huge festivals. This role is part sales, part customer service, and part teamster. The goal of this position is to ensure that customers at our events, be they public or private, large or small, are fully satisfied with their experience. This person reports to the Event Manager. Minimum Expectations Fully support the founders' mission and integrity of the brand Maintain highest food/health sanitary and cleanliness levels, appropriate to the event setup (truck, table, cart, etc.) Comporting oneself in a way that supports the image and integrity of Lick Honest Ice Creams, and the owner's mission Experience handling cash and credit card sales Experience safely handling and transporting containers with dry ice State food handlers permit required Valid drivers license required Personal vehicle required Duties and Responsibilities Transport product and supplies to events, ensuring that everything is kept at proper temperatures Assemble event setup as appropriate, conforming to Lick setup guidelines and those requested by the event venue/organizer Confirm that event kits contain all required items prior to events, and communicate with Event Manager to order replacement supplies as needed in a timely manner Accurately processing all transactions at events, carefully managing cash, credit cards, and gift cards as appropriate Being knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Lick Honest Ice Creams and what makes our ice cream unique, and sharing this knowledge with customers Being able to answer all questions, including where we source our ingredients and how we craft our ice creams Conform to any additional, reasonable requirements and expectations communicated by external event hosts (i.e. festival organizers, wedding/event planners, etc.) Identify any customer issues/complaints and take necessary steps to correct them Complete post-event survey after every event, providing feedback from both our staff, and from the event organizer, venue, or customers for data tracking purposes Perform all other related duties as requested Follow company uniform policy Follow all policies and procedures outlined in the company handbook Essential Functions Serve guests and attendees at events in a timely and professional manner Maintain availability such that you can work at least one event per month Able to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members (face-to-face, email, phone, etc.) Able to read and comprehend written material Able to stand for shifts lasting up to, but not limited to, 8 hours of time on concrete floors Perform tasks which involve repetitive motion including, but not limited to, the use of arms, hands, wrists, back Able to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls Pack up event kits and supplies and transport them back to the appropriate Lick storefront or Headquarters Complete after-event reporting, and notify Events Manager of any issues or needs that were identified before, during, or after an event Monitor and control resources, including but not limited to collecting payments for goods or services, counting and managing cash box, managing inventories Lift and move objects and items weighing up to 50#
