GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
As an Event Director for MAD Concepts Group, your primary responsibility is to create, coordinate, and execute engaging experiences within the outdoor spaces shared by Jakes Burgers and Tacos & Avocados. This role is responsible for driving energy, programming entertainment, and maintaining a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere for all guests. The Backyard Activities Coordinator enhances the overall guest experience by curating events and leading interactive activities that bring the backyard to life.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
) Plan, coordinate, and execute daily, weekly, and special event programming for the backyard space. 2.) Manage live music, entertainment, and vendors in alignment with brand standards and guest experience goals. 3.) Create and maintain a fun, high-energy environment that encourages guest engagement and repeat visits. 4.) Act as the "host" of the backyard by interacting with guests, leading activities, and building a welcoming atmosphere. 5.) Develop creative programming ideas such as games, tournaments, themed nights, and seasonal events. 6.) Monitor guest activity and participation to ensure a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable experience 7.) Collaborate with restaurant management teams to align events with business needs and peak traffic times. 8.) Assist in promoting events through in-store communication, social media coordination, and word-of-mouth engagement 9.) Oversee setup and breakdown of events, ensuring all equipment and activity areas are organized and guest-ready. 10.) Maintain cleanliness and organization of activity areas, including yard games, stages, and entertainment spaces. 11.) Enforce safety standards and ensure all activities are conducted responsibly 12.) Assist with high-volume periods by supporting outdoor service needs when necessary. 13.) Evaluate event success and provide feedback and ideas for continuous improvement. 14.) Be proactive in identifying opportunities to elevate the backyard experience. 15.) Report to work when scheduled, in uniform, and on time. 16.) Uphold MAD Concepts Group standards of hospitality, professionalism, and teamwork in all interactions with guests and team members. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
No formal education is required. Previous experience in event coordination, entertainment, hospitality, promotions, or guest engagement roles is preferred but not required. Experience in high-energy or social environments is a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to communicate effectively in English. Must be comfortable speaking in front of groups and engaging with guests in a lively, outgoing manner.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must attend orientation and agree to policies and procedures as outlined by MAD Concepts Group. Must complete any required safety and operational training.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This role requires standing, walking, speaking, and engaging with guests for extended periods. The Backyard Activities Coordinator may be required to lift, push, or carry equipment up to 50 pounds and assist with event setup and breakdown.

Pay:
$15.00 - $19.00 per hour
