About the Department and/or College Office of Campus Events oversees the campus calendar, commencement and special events. This position will oversee all outdoor events and work closely with the Outdoor Events Coordinating Committee. Major/Essential Functions Event Planning and Implementation, take a lead role in the planning and registration process for events, including conferences, seminars, workshops, and corporate functions within the assigned areas. with internal stakeholders to understand event objectives, requirements, and desired outcomes. Develop comprehensive event plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure smooth execution. Collaborate with assigned areas regarding event logistics, such as venue selection, catering, audio-visual. Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management. Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, sponsors, speakers, and partners closely with recommendations. Act as main point of contact for stakeholders, inquire, resolve issues, and ensure their needs are met. Attend
networking events and seeking professional development opportunities to build connections and stay updated on the latest trends and best practice. Service and support. Respond to department and campus inquiries quickly and professionally ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders. Resolve issues quickly and efficiently and proactively communicate issues and concerns with the Senior Event Coordinator. Serves as a knowledgeable resource for staff and provides necessary follow-up. Proactively mitigate potential problem areas and work to find solutions to prevent delays in process.
