Facilitates production of events by communicating with vendors, guests, internal staff and customers. Major/Essential Functions In collaboration with administration and Honors College staff, coordinate College-level events.
Manage all aspects of planning and executing events within the Honors College.
Work across campus and community partners facilitate successful events.
Work with the Associate Director of Systems and Administration on creating event budgets, invoices, and payments.
Working with vendors on caterers, decorators, music, etc.
Managing the setup/cleanup of the event, including decor, entertainment, transportation, and invitee lists.
Facilitate parking passes as needed for guest speakers, entertainment, etc.
Attend Honors College events and activities as needed include mandatory annual events like Medallion Ceremonies.
Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge/ability to follow TTU policies and procedures that relate to the position, especially as pertains to procurement, vendors, systems, and students.
Knowledge of TTU Honors College procedures related to budget, purchasing, planning, and staff procedures.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Zoom.
Knowledge of internal and external stakeholders, including vendors.
Excellent oral communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to keep accurate, detailed records. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree plus one-year related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience equal to five years. Preferred Qualifications Two years' work experience involving detailed work and event planning.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle large volume of work.
Demonstrated ability to work with students, customers or clients.
