About Us:
At McKinney Hat Company, we take pride in delivering a first-class customer experience rooted in Western heritage and craftsmanship. We specialize in premium hats from brands like Stetson and Resistol, offering expert fitting, shaping, and customizations that make every hat personal to the customer. We're looking for a friendly, motivated person who enjoys working with people and takes pride in creating a memorable off-site and in-store experiences. This role is all about hospitality—guiding customers through the process, paying attention to the details, and helping them plan the perfect event or walk out with a hat they feel confident in.
Responsibilities:
This position will lead events and also lead the store on non-event days. Deliver a first-class customer experience from the first moment Guide customers through the full hat-buying experience, including sizing, styling, and shaping Educate customers on product details, materials, and proper hat care Assist with in-store hat customizations Maintain a clean, organized, and well-merchandised sales floor at all times Operate the register and handle transactions accurately and efficiently Support daily store operations, including restocking and inventory upkeep
Qualifications:
Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred, but not required Strong communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Takes initiative and is eager to learn Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment Interest in Western wear, craftsmanship, or fashion is a plus Weekend availability is required
Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
