Job Description
Retirement Planners of America (RPOA) is a registered investment advisor specializing in retirement planning, headquartered in Plano, TX, with offices across Texas, California, Arizona, and Oklahoma. Founded in 2011 as Money Matters with Ken Moraif, RPOA serves over 7,500 clients nationwide and manages approximately $3.3 billion in assets (As of June 30, 2022).We provide comprehensive financial planning, investment management, tax strategy, and estate planning services designed to help our clients achieve clarity, confidence, and long-term peace of mind.

Through curated events, shared experiences, and intentional community-building, RPOA Social creates opportunities for our clients to form friendships, explore new interests, and feel genuinely known and cared for.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and deeply hospitality-driven, with a passion for designing experiences that feel thoughtful, elevated, and memorable. This person should care deeply about people and take pride in creating environments where relationships naturally flourish.
Develop and oversee a range of events, including:
Client education eventsClient appreciation eventsSmall, intimate social gatheringsLarger community-building experiencesCreate intentional, high-touch client experiences that reflect RPOAs brand and values.
Build and manage relationships with venues, vendors, and partners to deliver exceptional events.
Collaborate closely with the marketing team on branding, messaging, and communications.
Own event execution from concept through completion, ensuring events are delivered on-brand and within budget.
Track engagement, attendance, and referral impact of events to continuously improve programming.
Manage and mentor an Events Coordinator.
Support broader marketing initiatives as needed.
RPOA becomes known not just for financial planning, but for delivering an exceptional retirement lifestyle experience.
Clients describe their experience as feeling loved, cared for, and connected.
Experience in restaurants, hotels, or high-touch client service environments is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Salesforce experience is a plus.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
Natural problem-solver who remains calm and composed under pressure.
Warm, polished, and hospitality-oriented demeanor.
A genuine passion for creating memorable experiences and bringing people together.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed for events.
Ability to travel (10%)Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Design and execute the RPOA Social event strategy, creating a calendar of experiences that foster connection, fun, and community among clients.Develop and oversee a range of events, including:

Education:
Bachelors degree preferredExperience & Skills:
Prior experience in event management, hospitality, or luxury service environments strongly preferred.Experience in restaurants, hotels, or high-touch client service environments is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Salesforce experience is a plus.
