We strengthen ministries by creating an environment where leaders and organizations can work side-by-side, share resources, and collaborate for greater Kingdom impact. Located in Plano, Texas, The Hope Center provides office space, coworking, event space, hospitality, and operational support for Christian nonprofits and ministries of all sizes. We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, hospitality-minded Events Manager to lead our Events Department with excellence, professionalism, financial stewardship, and care.
Position Summary:
The Events Manager is responsible for leading the overall Events Department at The Hope Center. This role oversees the planning, coordination, execution, growth, and accountability of events hosted at The Hope Center. As The Hope Center increases its focus on events, external rentals, outreach, and community engagement, this position will play an important role in supporting the organization's mission, revenue strategy, tenant relationships, and overall guest experience. The Events Manager will primarily lead non-tenant and external events, including outside rentals, community events, ministry partner events, outreach opportunities, and revenue-generating event activity. This role also provides leadership and accountability to the Event Associate, who focuses primarily on internal tenant events and ministry-focused gatherings.
Key Responsibilities:
Events Department Leadership:
Lead the Events Department with ownership, structure, and accountability Provide leadership, direction, and support to the Event Associate Establish department priorities, workflows, timelines, and communication processes Ensure internal and external events are executed with excellence Keep leadership informed of event priorities, risks, staffing needs, budget considerations, and revenue opportunities Prepare reports and updates for leadership as needed Continuously improve event systems, processes, and standards
External & Non-Tenant Events:
Serve as the primary lead for non-tenant and external events Manage the event process from inquiry through post-event follow-up Conduct tours for prospective event clients Review event requests for mission and values alignment Prepare proposals, contracts, budgets, timelines, room layouts, and client communications Coordinate vendor needs, catering, AV, security, custodial support, signage, and logistics Ensure events are properly documented, staffed, billed, and executed Identify opportunities to increase event revenue while protecting The Hope Center's mission and culture
Outreach & Event Growth:
Expand awareness of The Hope Center's event spaces and services Build relationships with churches, ministries, nonprofits, schools, and community organizations Follow up with prospective event clients in a thoughtful and organized manner Partner with Marketing and Development teams to support event promotion and community engagement Identify opportunities that strengthen outreach, tenant relationships, donor engagement, and long-term sustainability Represent The Hope Center with professionalism, warmth, and clarity
Event Planning & Execution:
Coordinate event logistics from planning through execution and follow-up Gather and confirm all event details, including room setup, guest counts, vendors, catering, AV, signage, and timelines Create event timelines, setup plans, task lists, and communication workflows Coordinate with internal departments and external partners Ensure event spaces are welcoming, prepared, and guest-ready Provide day-of event leadership, troubleshooting, and client support Remain calm and adaptable when plans change or challenges arise
Budget Management & Financial Stewardship:
Own event-related budget tracking and financial accountability Prepare and manage budgets for assigned events Track event revenue, expenses, deposits, sponsorships, and outstanding balances Partner with Accounting and leadership to ensure accurate billing and reporting Maintain contracts, invoices, receipts, and financial documentation Make financially responsible decisions while maintaining excellent event experiences
Internal Tenant Event Oversight:
Provide leadership and accountability for tenant-focused events Support ministry-focused gatherings, appreciation events, seasonal celebrations, and community-building activities Ensure tenant events remain relational, meaningful, and aligned with The Hope Center's mission Maintain a high level of service and care for tenants while expanding external event efforts

Event management or event coordination Conference center, venue, hospitality, church, ministry, or nonprofit event environments External event rentals, client proposals, contracts, and event sales Budget management and expense tracking Vendor coordination and scheduling Staff, volunteer, or cross-functional team leadership Project management and workflow organization Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Excel, and scheduling systems Event management, CRM, or room reservation software Ministry, nonprofit, hospitality, or multi-use facility experience

Work Schedule:
Full-time, salaried, in-office position Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Occasional evenings, early mornings, weekends, and after-hours event support as needed
