This is a seasonal position that oversees the catering operations of Hill's Kitchen Park City, directly managing the Banquet Staff. The Seasonal Operations Manager works in collaboration with the Catering Sales Manager, the Director of Business Development & Events Sales and Services, Executive Banquet Chef, Executive Pastry Chef, and Team to ensure the success of all events. They will also work in collaboration with the Hill's Kitchen Park City culinary team. The Seasonal Operations Manager oversees client events and relations, manages a collaborative team, and maintains vendor relations. The Seasonal Operations Manager maintains a thorough knowledge of Hill's Kitchen Park City products and services, as well as awareness of other roles and responsibilities throughout the organization. They provide a consistent product and ensure all staff under direct supervision are focused and demonstrate a guest-centric attitude and culture. In addition to maintaining our vision by adhering to our values, this position provides the highest level of service to our guests and clientele. This position is seasonal, June 1•October 31.PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Seasonal Operations Manager is responsible for the oversight of onsite events, Banquet Staff, Catering Beverage Program, vehicle fleet, and administrative tasks.This includes:
Preparing and planning all equipment and ensuring food arrives at each event according to the Banquet Event Order. Managing onsite Food & Beverage Staff, including conducting pre-shift meetings prior to events, oversight of event execution and conclusion. Communicating daily activities, in person or by log to banquet personnel, and culinary to ensure smooth transition and follow up from all functions. Supervising the placement of tables, chairs, cutlery, plates, glasses, table linens, centerpieces, heating lamps, serving utensils, and all additional required event equipment. Communicating with culinary teams regarding the timing of meal services. Maintaining positive relationships with outside vendors and venues. Communicating as the onsite point of contact with clients at events including accommodating any special requests onsite. Responsible for the care and maintenance of banquet equipment, vehicle fleet, and all banquet equipment. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the banquet "cage". Creating buffet tags or menus for all events. Logging monthly inventory and keeping proper stock according to upcoming Banquet Event Order needs. Responsible for assisting in the ordering of products (disposables, etc.). Maintaining training protocols for staff regarding uniform approach to all banquet food & beverage services. Developing and maintaining all policies, procedures, and quality standards within the department. Managing Catering Beverage Program, developing onsite standards, menus, etc. Communicating via email to sales team event recaps to make note of any relevant issues or feedback, including but not limited to, staff performance, menu feedback, and overall guest satisfaction. Participate in weekly Banquet Event Order meetings. Maintaining a high level of service by constantly training and coaching all direct reports and associates. During slower periods of Catering at Hill's Kitchen Park City Park City, Manager may be asked to "taskforce" for other properties•Beverage Manager, Front of House Manager, overall Manager assistance. Perform all duties as assigned.CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE
At a minimum, must have a High School Diploma or equivalent Must be at least 21 years of age 5+ years of restaurant experience preferred 3+ years of management experience preferred Experience using multiple computer programs and websites, including but not limited to: scheduling software, reservation systems, pos systems, and Excel or Sheets Possess math skills and have the ability to manage money Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and procedures Food handlers & beverage service permits Valid Drivers LicensePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand for extended periods of time (8+ hours) Ability to bend, lift, push & carry heavy objects up to 25 lbs.
