Salt Lake Culinary Education is seeking a Culinary Events Coordinator & Client Experience Specialist to oversee the administrative, logistical, and client-facing aspects of our culinary events. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing customer service, event coordination, scheduling, documentation, and operational support in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is the person who naturally notices missing information, follows up before being asked, keeps meticulous records, and takes pride in creating exceptional experiences through careful planning and execution. The Role The Culinary Events Coordinator & Client Experience Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for private event clients while managing the details that ensure successful execution of every event. This role focuses on client communication, event coordination, scheduling, documentation, and operational organization. You'll work closely with our culinary team to ensure event details are accurate, complete, and communicated effectively. This position includes occasional evenings and weekends based on event schedules. What Success Looks Like In this role, success means: Client inquiries receive prompt, professional follow-up. Event details are documented accurately and completely. Calendars, contracts, invoices, and event records are maintained with precision. Chefs and instructors receive complete information needed to execute events successfully. Potential issues are identified and resolved before they become problems. Guests experience seamless events because details were anticipated and managed in advance. Key ResponsibilitiesClient Communication & Event Coordination Serve as the primary contact for private event inquiries via phone and email. Conduct client consultations to understand goals, preferences, and event requirements. Prepare proposals, contracts, invoices, and event documentation. Coordinate event logistics, menus, staffing needs, and scheduling with the culinary team. Maintain detailed event records, client notes, timelines, and preparation schedules. Ensure event details are complete, accurate, and communicated to all team members. Manage deposits, invoicing, confirmations, and follow-up communications. Support event execution and resolve last-minute issues calmly and professionally. Track event inquiries, bookings, client feedback, and performance metrics. Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and guest experiences. Required Qualifications Experience in event coordination, hospitality, client service, administrative support, operations, or a related role. Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to track details accurately and follow through consistently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple events, deadlines, and client communications at the same time. Comfortable using calendars, spreadsheets, documents, and email to manage work and keep information organized. Ability to work independently, ask clarifying questions, and confirm details before moving forward. Calm, professional, and solution-oriented when schedules or event details change. Preferred Skills Experience coordinating events, catering, cooking classes, private dining, or hospitality experiences. Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or similar tools. Basic experience with invoicing, payment tracking, QuickBooks, BillerGenie, or similar systems. Experience with Canva, Mailchimp, WordPress, or similar platforms is helpful but not required. Additional consideration will be given to candidates with experience in social media management, photography, videography, and content creation. Compensation & Schedule Compensation:
Hourly base pay depending on experience, plus commission. This position also earns commission on private events that are booked, coordinated, and successfully completed. Total earnings may increase based on event volume, client engagement, and successful follow-through. This is a part-time hourly position, typically averaging approximately 30 hours per week depending on event schedules. Some evening and weekend availability is required. Candidates who bring additional skills in social media management, photography, video production, and content creation may have the opportunity to grow this position into a full-time role by supporting both event coordination and marketing initiatives. Pay:
