Job Description
Facilitate the efficient consultation, organization, timely physical setup, hosting and post event wrap up of all events; while assisting in maintaining a safe environment at the Jordan Student Center.
Strong customer service orientation and communication skills. Knowledge of general office procedures. Knowledge of Internet (including setup of Internet access). Ability to handle sensitive client information with discretion while maintaining confidentiality. Ability to handle conflict resolution with calm and deliberation. Ability to set priorities and to organize tasks; ability to operate office and A/V equipment. Ability to lift and move 50 lbs consistently. Maintain professional, positive attitude and neat appearance. Ability to grow, adapt, take direction and work independently when necessary; interpersonal, problem solving, and decision making skills; reliable and punctual. Attention to details. Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities. High School diploma or equivalent. One Year of part time employment in event setup, facilitation, customer service or equivalent.
