At Least One Event Per Month About Hampton Roads Water Services Hampton Roads Water Services is a locally owned, family-operated company dedicated to helping families and businesses better understand their water quality through education, awareness, and free in-home water testing services. We are looking for a motivated, professional, and outgoing Freelance Event Coordinator to help expand our community presence and create meaningful engagement opportunities throughout the Hampton Roads area. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Freelance Event Coordinator to plan, organize, and execute employee engagement events that educate the public about water quality and our services. Events may range from small lunch-and-learn presentations at local businesses to larger community outreach events in high-traffic locations. The primary goal of these events is to:
- Increase public awareness of water quality issues and solutions
- Generate appointments for free in-home water quality tests
- Strengthen community relationships
- Increase visibility and brand recognition for Hampton Roads Water Services
- Support company growth and quarterly outreach goals Responsibilities
- Research and identify businesses, organizations, community groups, and high-traffic venues that would be ideal event partners.
- Prospect and contact local companies to secure lunch-and-learn opportunities for employees.
- Coordinate event logistics from planning through execution.
- Schedule and confirm event dates, times, and locations.
- Communicate professionally with business owners, HR departments, office managers, and community leaders.
- Ensure a positive and engaging experience for event attendees.
- Collaborate with company leadership regarding event goals and messaging.
- Manage event setup, breakdown, and on-site coordination.
- Track event results and provide post-event reporting.
