Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Auction Coordinator to join our team and drive a successful fundraising event through expertly managing the Centralia Christian School annual auction. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your event planning, relationship management, and digital marketing skills to support impactful nonprofit initiatives. The Auction Coordinator will oversee all aspects of auction planning, execution, and follow-up, ensuring seamless operations that maximize engagement and revenue. Responsibilities Plan and coordinate all elements of live and silent auctions, including venue logistics, item procurement, and volunteer management. Develop comprehensive strategies for digital marketing campaigns using mail, website and social media to promote events and increase participation. Manage the Greater Giving database to track donor information, auction items, and fundraising progress. Write compelling proposals to secure sponsorships and funding for the event. Negotiate with vendors, donors, and sponsors to acquire auction items and secure sponsorship opportunities that align with organizational goal. Oversee budget development and monitoring to ensure cost-effective event execution while maximizing revenue potential. Conduct research on prospective donors, partners, and community stakeholders to expand outreach efforts. Maintain strong relationships with volunteers, donors, sponsors, and community partners through effective communication and engagement strategies. Coordinate all aspects of event management from initial planning through post-event analysis to ensure continuous improvement. Experience Proven experience in event planning, fundraising events, or nonprofit management with a focus on auctions or large-scale gatherings. A background in digital marketing tools such as social media management platforms. Familiarity with relationship management systems like Greater Giving or similar. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure donations, sponsorships, and vendor services effectively. Knowledge of budgeting principles combined with strategic planning capabilities to optimize event outcomes. Preference may be given to candidates who have established relationships with individuals and businesses in Lewis County. Compensation The position compensation is a base salary of $3,500. In addition to the base salary, 10% of the gross proceeds over $40,000. This amount includes auction proceeds and any pre or post auction fundraisers held in direct support of the auction.
