Manager of Events & Experiences The Retirement Solution Redmond, WA Job Details Full-time $98,300 - $110,000 a year 1 hour ago Benefits Health savings account Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Parental leave Employee assistance program Career development plan Vision insurance 401(k) matching Professional development assistance Life insurance Referral program Retirement plan Qualifications Marketing project management Hospitality Branding Conference planning Managing marketing project budgets Event planning Salesforce Cloud Bachelor's degree Team management Managing event budgets Vendor communication CRM system proficiency Event marketing Marketing campaign budget management Full Job Description Most financial firms run the same event playbook: a steakhouse dinner, a slide deck, branded golf balls, and a handshake on the way out. We're not interested in that. Our clients are people we genuinely enjoy spending time with, and we're always looking for new, memorable ways to bring them together. A wine tasting with live Spanish guitar. A seminar people actually remember. A flagship summit large enough to attract sponsors and become a signature event. We're scaling our events program into something people don't expect from a retirement planning firm, and we're looking for the person who will lead it. The big idea and the seating chart both belong to you. What You'll Own The full events program: client appreciation, prospecting/seminar events, and brand experiences. From concept through flawless day-of execution. Making the ordinary memorable. Taking formats that could be forgettable (a seminar, a client dinner) and making them extraordinary. Your motto is "lets give them something to talk about" The signature event. Next year we're launching a full-day summit; sponsors, programming, the works. You'll shape the vision and bring it to life. Salesforce campaign management. Registration, segmentation, follow-up, and ROI reporting live in Salesforce. You build and manage campaigns yourself and report on what's working by location, topic, presenter, and vendor. Vendors, venues, and budgets. Sourcing and negotiating with venues, caterers, and partners; building and tracking event budgets; finding the local connections (and great rooms) that make events feel special. Growing the function. As the program scales, so does the team and the systems behind it. You're building something to grow into. Who You Are You have genuinely good taste and a design sensibility, and it shows in the things you make. You think strategically about why an event exists and what it should do, but you're equally happy working in logistics that make it actually work. You are an experienced people-manager who lifts others up and inspires them. You've managed events end-to-end and ideally managed people, vendors, or contractors. You can hold a vision and a checklist at the same time. You bring ideas from outside financial services. Backgrounds in hospitality, brand and experiential marketing, festivals, cultural programming, member clubs, or anywhere experiences are a plus! You're ambitious and want to grow with the role rather than just hold it. Bonus, not required: existing relationships with venues, vendors, and community groups around Washington. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five or more years of event management, experiential marketing, hospitality, conference planning, or related experience. Experience managing people, contractors, vendors, or project teams. Proven experience owning events from concept through execution. Salesforce campaign management experience required. Strong project management, communication, and budget management skills. Willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
