Job Description

Full-Time Event Planner & Venue Sales Manager Shully's Cuisine & Events | The George and Madcap Lounge Shully's Cuisine & Events is seeking a full-time Event Planner & Venue Sales Manager to lead event sales and planning efforts for our George and Madcap event spaces, as well as some off-premise catering. This role is ideal for a motivated, relationship-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is passionate about selling unique venues and creating exceptional guest experiences.
Office Location:
This position combines time at Shully's offices in Thiensville, WI as well as at the George and Madcap Lounge located at 429 W. National Ave. Milwaukee, WI. Primary Responsibilities Serve as the lead point of contact for all event inquiries at The George and Madcap Lounge Work with George and Madcap Lounge General Manager to execute sales and service goals. Proactively sell, promote, and book social, corporate, and nonprofit events Conduct venue tours and client meetings (in person and virtual) Prepare customized proposals, contracts, and event timelines Collaborate closely with our culinary, operations, and service teams to ensure seamless execution Execute events on-site as primary day of contact for service team and client. Maintain accurate booking, lead tracking, and follow-up within our CRM systems Meet or exceed monthly and annual booking and revenue goals Build strong relationships with corporate clients, planners, vendors, and community partners Represent The George and Madcap Lounge at networking events, tours, and industry functions Secondary Responsibilities Assist clients with event design, layout planning, and logistical coordination Support marketing initiatives, including open houses, styled shoots, and promotional events Stay current on market trends, competitor offerings, and pricing strategies Participate in post-event follow-up and client retention efforts Qualifications 2+ years of experience in event planning, venue sales, hospitality sales, or related field Strong sales mindset with proven ability to close bookings Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills Comfortable managing multiple events and deadlines simultaneously Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and event management software Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends Knowledge of the Milwaukee event market is a plus What We Offer Full-time, salaried position with commission structure Opportunity to represent two premier event venues backed by an established catering brand Supportive, collaborative team environment Growth opportunities within Shully's Cuisine & Events Health Care 401K with Matching Paid Time Off Employee dining and event perks
