Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Meat Slicer/Front Counter Server to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be the friendly face welcoming customers, providing exceptional service, and expertly preparing and slicing meats to meet our high-quality standards. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a positive shopping experience for every guest. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine culinary skills with server sales, all while working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Paid training will be provided, and your contributions will directly impact the success of our team. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with their selections at the front counter, providing knowledgeable recommendations and upselling products when appropriate Prepared BBQ meats according to customer specifications and quality standards Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all food preparation areas, adhering strictly to food safety management practices and sanitation protocols Assist with food preparation tasks, including packaging, labeling, and stocking meat products in compliance with food safety regulations Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products, offering samples when appropriate, and ensuring a positive shopping experience Support other duties such as bussing tables, restocking supplies, and maintaining a clean work environment in both front of house and back of house areas Requirements Previous experience in food service, quick service or fast food restaurant environments preferred; retail sales or grocery store experience is a plus Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and food safety management practices Familiarity with POS systems Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and measuring ingredients or portions Ability to stand for extended periods while operating equipment or assisting customers Culinary experience or kitchen background is necessary Join our team where your energy fuels a lively environment focused on quality service and community connection.
