Front of House Staff

Job description Sedona Mago Center for Well-being and Retreat is hiring for Front of House Staff positions. We are searching for the right candidates with restaurant experience to join our Culinary Team

• In addition to aiding and following the Front of House Staff's job duties include: Assisting in the set up and maintenance of all Dining areas, Assisting in the receipt of deliveries, Assisting in the welcoming of staff and guests to the Dining areas, Assisting in the serving of meals/drinks to staff and guests.

When assisting

Dishwashers:

Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand; Clean tableware; Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition; Clean food preparation areas, facilities, equipment, or utensils; Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas; Store supplies or goods in kitchens or storage areas; Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas; Remove trash; Sweep or scrub floors; Clean food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment; Store supplies or goods in kitchens or storage areas; Clean garbage cans with water or steam; Clean food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment; Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks; Move equipment, supplies or food to required locations.

• A food worker certificate is required for any person who handles, prepares, serves, sells or gives away food for human consumption, including those whose duties are restricted to busing or washing dishes.

New food workers must obtain their certificates within 30 days of hire. Physical Requirements/Characteristics for

Walk/Move/Traverse:

The persons in these positions need to constantly move about both inside and outside to access staff, guests, supplies, machinery, etc.

Operate/Activate/Use/Ascend/Descend/Position:

The persons in these positions need to use hands/fingers to handle or feel, operate. Constantly uses kitchen utensils and machinery. May occasionally climb stairs/ladders, or balance, traverse, ascend/descend a ladder, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, position self (to) move.

Talk/Hear/Communicate/Detect/Converse/Discern/Convey/Express Oneself/Exchange Information:

The persons in these positions frequently communicate with staff, guests, and other parties who have inquiries. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Carry Weight/Lift/Move/Transport:

The persons in these positions frequently lift, move, and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Exposures:

The persons in these positions will be exposed to heat/cold and cleaning chemicals, and may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and/or other elements of the unpredictable desert climate/environment. (Please note: Our Beautiful Retreat Center is located off of a 10.5 mile unpaved road, so dependable transportation is required)

Salary and Benefits:

Hourly rate is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Sedona Mago Center for Well-being and Retreat offers a competitive benefits package to full-time employees after 90 days with Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation available.
