Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your expertise in coffee preparation and customer service will help ensure that every guest has an exceptional experience at our café. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items with precision and care. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including workstations and dining areas. Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and cash handling. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Ensure compliance with food safety standards, including proper food handling and preparation techniques. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, pastries, and other supplies. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while ensuring efficient service during peak hours. Utilize time management skills to balance multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting. Skills Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is preferred. Familiarity with Aloha POS or Micros POS systems is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and sales transactions. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation. Experience in the food industry or retail environment is a plus.
