Farm Crew Member

About the Farm Founded in 2020 at the base of Dry Creek Valley in Healdsburg, California, Noble Goat Farm began with the revival of a neglected pomegranate orchard and has grown into a diverse, working landscape of more than 450 fruit trees and two acres of intensively planted vegetables. We are committed to no-till and regenerative farming practices. We sell our produce at the Healdsburg Farmers' Market, through a CSA, and to local restaurants. Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable farm crew member to join our small team. This crew member would be involved in all aspects of production: assisting our Farm Manager and one part-time crew member in seeding, transplanting, weed management, harvesting, and land maintenance. We make sure that every day provides a variety of tasks and try to break up more labor intensive jobs with work that is easier on the body. We like to work hard and efficiently, and find it is easier to do this when we are having a good time! We aim to nurture farmers' careers and leave room for crew members to take the lead on specific areas of interest. We are committed to continually experimenting and innovating with new crops, new systems, new techniques with an aim to feed more people with better produce. We are looking for someone to start in May and stay through at least November, but there may be opportunity for year-round employment. This is a 32-40 hours/week position, including workdays on the farm and a Saturday Farmers' Market. $21+/hr depending on experience. Health insurance is available, and access to farm produce is included.

Skills and Qualifications:

At least 1 year of growing experience required. No-till experience is a huge plus! The ability to work efficiently alone and in a group A positive attitude and strong communication skills The ability to work under a variety of weather conditions: our summers can get very hot and our falls/winters can be rainy and cold. We farm rain or shine.
