Duties Prepare fresh sandwiches and salads according to established recipes and customer preferences, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation. Engage with customers in a friendly, professional manner, taking orders accurately and upselling menu items to enhance their experience. Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS efficiently for order processing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, utensils, and food prep areas in compliance with food safety regulations. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality or safety. Restock supplies, ingredients, and packaging materials as needed to keep the station well-equipped for service. Assist with bussing tables and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the dining area to promote a positive customer environment. Requirements Previous experience in food preparation, quick service restaurants, or retail food environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing sales efficiently. Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation standards to ensure safe food handling practices. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus; training will be provided if needed. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks involved in food prep and cleaning routines. Experience working in a café, retail grocery store, or restaurant environment is advantageous but not mandatory; a positive attitude and team spirit are key.
