Job Description
Grassy Bar Oyster Company gets a lot of inquiries about jobs on the farm, and we're always looking for hardworking people to join our farm crew. So, in an effort for us to meet you and you to meet us and get to know our work better, we invite you to join our pool of temporary Oyster Farm Work Crew Members. We invite people to join our temporary work crew for special farm days and projects — things like planting oyster seed, building tumble lines, sorting oysters, and general farm work. These paid work days are great for people interested in future part-time or full-time opportunities with Grassy Bar as they open up, or for those simply looking to join for a few unique one-off work days on the bay. Temporary crew members will be first on the list when future part-time or full-time positions become available. Pay is $18/hr. Must be comfortable working outdoors in wet conditions and able to lift 40 lbs. Experience on the water or with outdoor labor is a plus, but not required. Great fit for people interested in aquaculture, marine science, sustainable seafood, farming, or hands-on outdoor work.
