In this dynamic role, you'll be the first point of contact, ensuring seamless service from greeting to farewell. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help foster a welcoming environment, whether assisting with reservations, taking orders, or managing guest relations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality expertise while contributing to a lively dining atmosphere. Responsibilities Welcome guests warmly and manage reservation systems such as OpenTable to optimize seating flow and guest experience Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring efficient processing and timely delivery Provide knowledgeable recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all front-of-house areas, including dining spaces, host stations, and waiting areas Assist with food handling, serving, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operations Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties and basic math calculations for bills and change Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a memorable experience for every visitor Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for reservations and order management Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume hours Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining a friendly demeanor Previous host/hostess or serving experience is highly desirable; background in food industry roles is a plus Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and bill calculations Experience with food preparation or kitchen support roles is beneficial for team flexibility Strong communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with team members and guests alike Embark on a rewarding journey in hospitality where your enthusiasm makes every guest feel valued.
