Duties Assist with food preparation, including cooking, grilling, braising, poaching, and food handling to meet quality standards. Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients and assisting with recipe execution. Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment. Participate in food production for various service styles, including catering and fine dining setups. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, demonstrating strong knife skills and culinary techniques. Help manage high-volume food production while maintaining consistency and presentation standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely meal service. Skills Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable. Strong background in food industry roles such as restaurant or catering service, with a focus on food safety management. Skilled in various cooking methods including grilling, braising, poaching, and general food preparation. Excellent knife skills and knowledge of food handling safety protocols. Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and high-volume production environments. Familiarity with food sanitizing procedures and maintaining cleanliness standards in a busy kitchen setting.
