Downtown SD - Energetic and Friendly Barista/Sandwich Maker

We are looking for our next great barista/sandwich maker.

Availability needed:

Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays required. Other days flexible. skybound coffee + dessert lounge is focused on providing our guests with great experiences, our team members with jobs worth doing, and giving our communities a reason to be proud. Our emphasis is on high quality drinks and food, served quickly. We are looking for friendly, responsible, reliable, positive, outgoing, energetic, self-initiated, and thoughtful team members. We serve specialty coffee, loose leaf tea including boba drinks, smoothies, toast/sandwiches, pastries, and dessert. Our coffee is specialty quality, certified organic, micro-roasted, and locally roasted in San Diego. We aim to foster a fun and upbeat working environment.

Duties include:

• Providing fast and friendly service
• Introducing guests to our concept and helping guests find what suits them
• Making coffee, espresso drinks, tea drinks, smoothies, toast/sandwiches, displaying pastries and cakes nicely, plating cakes nicely, consistent with our recipes
• Opening/closing duties, stocking, prep work, cleaning, and special tasks
• Keeping working areas and customer areas sanitary Must be 21+ years old Must be committed to the service values and ethics of the company and follow all safety rules and actively prevent accidents.

Friendly demeanor and sense of urgency required. Must be able to welcome customers and learn to describe our concept and menu items. Must be able to produce our drinks and food accurately according to our recipes and efficiently. Min. 1 Year continuous food service experience. Must be able to work weekends [ both Saturdays and Sunday availability ] and holidays, as these are our busiest days. Must survive and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift a minimum of 53 lbs, full use of hands, work on your feet 8 hours per day excluding breaks, work with almonds/coconuts, able to consume coffee/tea, etc. Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods. 181 w. market st, san diego, ca 92101 at the southeast corner of front + market evening and/or morning hours part time Growth opportunities possible.
