Responsibilities Prepare a variety of deli items including sandwiches, salads, and cold cuts with precision and care, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions efficiently while providing excellent customer service. Assist customers with their selections, upselling products to enhance their experience and increase sales opportunities. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, including food handling, bussing tables, and proper storage of perishable items in accordance with food safety regulations. Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cash register operation and balancing at shift end. Support inventory management by restocking shelves, rotating products, and monitoring product freshness. Collaborate with team members to ensure quick service delivery in a dynamic grocery or retail store setting. Experience Previous experience in food preparation or food service roles within quick service or fast-food restaurants is highly desirable. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in transaction processing. Culinary experience or background working in a café or restaurant environment is beneficial for understanding food handling and sanitation practices. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods while maintaining high standards of customer service. Demonstrated ability to upsell products confidently and contribute positively to sales goals. Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques is essential. Experience working in retail or grocery store environments will support your success in this role.
