Tent Installer / Event Rental Crew Member Vacaville, CA 95688 From $20 an hour - Full-time From $20 an hour - Full-time Funtastic Rentals is hiring an experienced Tent Installer / Event Rental Crew Member . This position is only for candidates with prior hands-on experience in the event rental, tent rental, party rental, staging, production, or similar field installation industry . Applicants without relevant field experience should not apply. The role includes installing and removing commercial event tents, loading and unloading trucks, setting up rental equipment, working on event sites, and supporting warehouse preparation before and after jobs. This is a physical, field-based position. The right candidate must already understand the pace, pressure, and expectations of event setup and breakdown work. Required Experience Applicants must have experience in at least one of the following areas: Tent installation Event rental setup and breakdown Party rental industry Commercial event production Staging or flooring installation Pipe and drape installation AV, lighting, or truss setup Warehouse loading for event rental orders Delivery and pickup of rental equipment Festival, corporate event, wedding, or venue setup Main Duties Install and remove frame tents, pole tents, clearspan tents, canopies, and sidewalls. Assist with staking, ballasting, squaring, leveling, and securing tents. Load and unload trucks safely and correctly. Deliver, set up, and pick up tables, chairs, staging, flooring, pipe and drape, lighting, heaters, fans, and other rental equipment. Read and follow pull sheets, delivery instructions, and crew lead direction. Inspect equipment before loading and after return. Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe. Clean, count, and restock rental inventory after events. Report damaged, missing, or unsafe equipment immediately. Work professionally around clients, venues, vendors, and other crew members. Minimum Requirements Prior event rental, tent installation, or similar field setup experience is required. Must be able to lift 50 to 75 lbs repeatedly. Must be able to work outdoors in heat, cold, wind, and rain. Must be available for weekends, early mornings, evenings, and overtime when needed. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced event environment. Must be able to work as part of a crew. Must have reliable transportation to the warehouse in Vacaville, CA. Preferred Qualifications Valid driver's license. Clean driving record. Experience driving box trucks. Forklift experience. Crew lead experience. Experience with commercial tents, frame tents, clearspan tents, staging, flooring, pipe and drape, or AV setup. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Pay Starting at $20 per hour . Higher starting pay may be considered for candidates with proven tent installation, event rental, box truck driving, forklift, warehouse, or crew lead experience.
