This role is responsible for supervising a team of Level 1 Technicians, executing advanced inspection methods, and ensuring all work meets industry standards and customer expectations. As a Crew Leader, you will work closely with the Operations Manager to plan and complete inspection jobs efficiently, safely, and with the highest level of professionalism. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise a crew of three Level 1 NDT Technicians Perform and oversee advanced NDT methods, including: Visual Testing (VT) Ultrasonic Thickness Testing (UTT) Hydrostatic Pressure Testing Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) Service and rebuilding functional equipment Ensure all inspections comply with ASME and ASNT standards and applicable codes Coordinate daily job activities with the Operations Manager to meet customer timelines and expectations Conduct inspections on high-pressure iron, pipelines, and related equipment Oversee both mobile inspection services (on-site hydrotesting/NDT trailers) and in-shop inspection processes Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and certification records Enforce company safety policies and ensure a culture of safety and accountability Mentor and train Level 1 Technicians, supporting their development and certification progress Training & Development Company-provided re-training and advanced training programs Exposure to new and evolving inspection technologies and techniques Ongoing professional development to maintain certifications and expand skillsets Work Environment Combination of field-based (mobile) and in-shop work Regular travel to job sites (per diem included) Industrial settings with high-pressure equipment and outdoor conditions Qualifications Current ASNT Level 2 Certification Proven experience in NDT within the oil & gas or related industry Leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a team Strong working knowledge of ASME and ASNT codes and standards Demonstrated commitment to professionalism in the workplace Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines Clean driving record (required) Experience with driving heavy duty trucks and hauling trailers Ability to operate high pressure testing equipment and basic hand tools Physically capable of performing fieldwork in demanding environments What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Opportunities for career advancement and growth within Metrix Energy Hands-on leadership role with a skilled and growing team A strong safety culture focused on quality and reliability Access to cutting-edge inspection methods and continuous training Why Metrix Energy Metrix Energy combines mobile and in-shop inspection services to deliver comprehensive, efficient solutions that reduce downtime and improve operational performance.
